However, authors should be mindful of the need to prepare work in such a way as to be of interest to researchers in other disciplinary areas. The Chicago referencing style with endnotes should be utilised. For more information on this style, please refer to the Chicago Manual of Style. Detailed instructions to authors are included in the pdf link at the end of this page. The editors are eternally grateful to those who take great care in preparing their references, and very grumpy with those who don't.
Papers, creative writing and art work are welcome and should be submitted within the six month window which ends six months before the issue date. Electronic submission to junctures@tekotago.ac.nz is preferred. Authors should specify the issue for which they are submitting, and should provide their title, name, surname, academic affiliation and a short biography.
Poets: please submit only once per theme, and include no more than three poems in your submission. The poems should be contained in word documents, rather than in the text of your email and should not have been previously published. We will provide a quick review, and unless alternative arrangements are made with you, will let you know if your poem has been accepted for publication within one month of the deadline for submissions. With this in mind, we only wish to consider poems which are not under review elsewhere. If you have questions, please write us.
The editors are happy to work with authors for whom English is a second language, but point out that more time will be required to assist such authors, and the deadline for submission must be adjusted accordingly.
Individuals or groups who wish to propose a theme for consideration should address their suggestions to the editors with a description of the range of contributions they envision would be generated by such a theme.
